📚 Let’s Learn to Write Better!

Welcome back to my blog! Today I want to share something fun and helpful that I learned from my Reading and Writing course. Our lecturer encouraged us to explore videos, sounds, and online tools that can help make writing easier and more enjoyable. So, I decided to create a special post where I bring all of those things together in one place!

Sometimes we learn best when we see something, hear something, or watch someone explain it step-by-step. Videos make writing feel less confusing and more exciting. They also help young students understand things like sequencing, descriptive language, and story structure.

In this post, I’m sharing a few spots where I will add YouTube videos to help writers at all levels. Each video will match something we learned in class.

Sounds or Music for Writing Time

In this course, I learned that writing becomes easier when we use different tools to help us think, plan, and create. Videos and sounds are not just “extras” they actually support learning, and they make writing feel more enjoyable for students. As a future teacher, I know I will use videos often, especially when teaching steps like sequencing, drafting, brainstorming, and using descriptive words.

I hope this post becomes a helpful place where anyone teachers, students, or beginning writers can come and find simple tools to make writing easier.

More videos and links will be added soon! ✨✍️

From Uncertain to Understanding

Before I came to this Reading and Writing class, I never thought of myself as a good writer. I often second-guessed my work because I didn’t feel it was good enough for others to read. Whenever it was time to write, I would always have a hard time finding things to say about the topics I chose. Reflecting on my first day of writing, I can say that our lecturer did an excellent job of outlining the proper stages of the writing process and encouraging me to take my time with each step.              One of the most important things I learnt on this journey is that every piece of writing needs proper structure and planning . Writers should use strategies, organizational patterns, or even graphic organizers in every writing piece because these tools shape HOW the writing develops. The “how” of writing refers to  - HOW a writer generates his/her ideas, -  HOW the writer develops their writing,  - HOW the wr...
